Our Analysis And Predictions For The Teams To Advance

Switzerland Vs Poland

These two are new comers to the euro 2016 round of 16 hall of famers; as they have both qualified for the knockout stage of a EURO for the first time. In Previous meetings, Poland have had the better of the teams ten encounters to date having won four games, drew five and lost just one. Their most recent tussle was a 2-2 friendly draw in November 2014. Nevertheless, this might not be game as usual for Poland, as Switzerland are unbeaten in this tournament.

Team To Advance – Poland @ 1.70

Wales Vs North Ireland

Wales and North Ireland face a battle of Britain at Euro 2016 after both qualify for the last 16 of the tournament. Chris Coleman’s Dragons surprised everybody by still finishing above England in group B, despite losing 2-1 to them in the second match of the competition. Northern Ireland qualified for the next round as one of the best third placed sides. These two sides have met three times this decade with wales winning most of the games and with the way Wales quickly recovered from England’s loss our bet for teams to advance goes to Wales.

Team to Advance – Wales @ 1.40

This supposed to be a favourable draw for Portugal to be optimistic about; but not yet. Croatia have shown thus far that they could be the team to beat at this tournament –  having won seven points against Spain, Turkey and Czech Republic to finish top of Group D. These two have met twice in history and Portugal has won all with a most recent 1-0 win in 2013.

Team to Advance – Portugal  @ 1.90

Tournament Host France, Match forward, to face possibly the most favourable draw, facing a side that has only won one game in the last five games, a very late win infact.

Team To Advance – France @ 1.15

This should have been described also as ‘very favourable’, but on a second thought, this is a very tricky affair; Germany is supposed to be the stronger side, with a very strong and united force, and monstrous motivation of winning the world cup tournament. Also their last five games has been, slightly short of expectation but also it has been good. Slovakia, also has performed well, denying England the much crucial win, and beating Russia, in a surprise upset. The trickiness of this match is what occurred not too long ago, on the 29th of May 2016, where Slovakia and Germany actually met, and it was Slovakia, who gave Germany a brutal thrashing, at home, 3-1. But the clause was that, this was just a friendly match. Germany has always won their meeting with Slovakia in any international tournament.

Team To Advance – Germany @ 1.15

Hungary, booked their ticket for round of 16 after a sordid win over Sweden, and showed their potential to score in an unbelievable 3-3 tussle with Portugal. Hungary would indeed be a tough side to face, as they give 200%, and also have good players. Belgium on the other hand, had a very poor start, with a loss to Italy, but they showed their resolved to improve, winning their next two games. These two have met thrice in history with the most recent, in 2009, and it was Belgium that led 3-0.

Team To Advance – Belgium @ 1.22

This could be regarded as a derby match, without any favourable side to win; Both teams lost their group stage matches in surprising circumstances- though Spain’s loss thus far has been more disappointing. The record between this two is balanced, having faced each other 35 times in history, with a perfectly balanced record of 10wins for both teams. Spain beat Italy at Euro 2008 and 2012. Although Spain are being considered favorites in this match, but when Italy bring all their top names back, they wont be easy to handle. This one is too close to call

Team To Advance – Spain @ 1.45

Everyone around the world, knows that the shock potential for this match is massive. Yes England have shone on the ball, but they consistently failed to break down determined opponents; and there has been nobody Pluckier, more determined or better drilled than Iceland. These two met last in June 2004, with England winning 6-1, Wayne Rooney also on the score sheet. England haven’t lost a match at the Euro’s since their Opening group match in 2004, their defeats since then have all been in Penalty shootouts. Both teams are up to the task, and this is a must watch match.

Team To Qualify – ENGLAND @ 1.18
