There have been lingering words going around every news site and social media platform about the possible transfer of Gareth Bale from Real Madrid to Manchester United. Could this be a gossip awaiting clear proof of truth, or just another rumor? The football world is filled with gossips and rumors!
Talks of transfers monitoring the whispers ahead all summer and preseason moves. But gossips don’t just surface, and rumors are not always untrue.
Manchester United could finally be set to land Gareth Bale after being encouraged by Real Madrid’s coach Zenedine Zidane who said “anything is possible” before the transfer window closes on Aug. 31.
This wouldn’t be the first time the English team would be making a go on Gareth who formally played in the English league. United have failed in attempts to sign Bale before. Ferguson missed out on Bale when Bale left Southampton for Tottenham, and the 13-time Premier League champions were unsuccessful again in 2013 when he left Spurs to join Real Madrid.
Multiple reports in Friday’s newspapers claim United are set to make a new move for the Wales international. The Mirror says that Jose Mourinho is keen to sign a wide player this summer with Bale his first-choice target, while the Daily Mail adds that Bale could be sold as part of Madrid’s plans to fund a £160 million world-record bid to land Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe.
